What's up dog?

Boo always comes into the Runaway Play office with his owner, Jess, and since hes a bit of an older dog he spends the whole day calmly laying around ready to receive pets whenever.

Overall he's a huge morale boost to the company (who doesn't want to come into the office and see an adorable dog) and everyone loves him! Hes especially good at getting people to take breaks (lovingly dubbed as ˜Boo Breaks) as sometimes the game dev life can make you get a bit one-track-minded on a task.

And this year he even joined Jess as she participated in Sweat with Pride with the rest of the runaway office and helped raise some money for our Rainbow communities!

Every dog that enters is eligible for the 2024 People's Choice Award. The winner of the 2024 NZ People's Choice will be decided by you, the people!


This year, we wanted to give the aroha back to our communities.


Every year, our campaign is supported and celebrated by a variety of incredible charities across Aotearoa, all of whom mahi tirelessly to make a positive impact for dogs in their respected communities.


This year, the winner of the 2024 People Choice's Award will have the value of their doggy prize pack matched and donated to a charity of their choosing.


In addition, every voter will have the opportunity to donate towards one of the 3 incredbile mental health charities or dog organisations.
